Your Eyes

I can see in your eyes the pain that you're feeling,
The frustration and sorrow that's sent you reeling,
Your words are like blows thrown into the air,
Trying hard to disguise your rage for despair,
Though you are wanting to hide behind lies,
Nothing speaks louder than the look in your eyes,
I ache inside watching as you rant and you rave,
Unsure of myself and how to behave,
I struggle to speak and break through your walls,
But, nothing comes out, no words at all,
I'd die just to hold you, make it all go away,
Give anything to find the right something to say,
Then you walk out without looking back,
Making me regret, the courage I lack,
Tears fill my eyes, stinging and hot,
I knew I had blown the first and last shot,
As you silently pleaded for someone to see,
You just didn't realize, that someone was me.
