The Storm

You cannot breathe without your precious sight
Yet you cannot see the groping hands
Closing round your neck
The storm is rolling in
But you are busy strolling in
Your happy little world of sin

You think you know of wrath enough
For paradise's warm embrace
Yet nothing you can think can brace
For the knife that hangs above your head
You do not fear the cause of you
But the effect will bear you far away

Mystery bodes well for those who care
Enough without the knowing
For South a potent wind is blowing
Betraying your convenient vision
But soon the incision transforms the truth
When the gale becomes a blizzard

Conviction will be the saviour of convicts
For reason deludes the truth
Follow faith wherever it leads you
Acknowledge no excuse
Every being knows the way
So to survive throughout the night
Believe completely in the dark
or completely in the light
