There comes a time to say goodbye
To let go, and stop holding onto the lie.
I have loved you more than I should
You loved me all you could.

There is something you need
Something missing, that I cannot feed.
A feeling or a thought
Something earned, not bought.

Someday you may find you
Someday maybe you won't be blue.
Till then I have to let you go
Let my heart break, let the tears flow.

I hope with all my heart for your happiness
But for now we must both embrace the emptiness.
I will cry and probably cry alot
But this love is just not meant to be, it's just not.

Friends we may someday be
But there is nothing left here to see.
I love you, however, that is not enough
Time to step up and be tough.

So for now we must part
Seperate lives to start.
So you go your way, baby
And I will go mine, maybe.

But above all remember I loved you best
But somehow we failed the final test.
Time to say goodbye for good
All is said and all is done, but never understood.
