She Laughed with a linen smile
Sewn on with threads of hate
at a calender she lives her life by
with out any dates
She hummed a horrid tune
composed of her paternal past
Etching away at the memory
of what used to be such a beautiful craft
walking through damaged walls that
had never been broken, much less fixed.
To find a snowy television
Playing home videos that didn't exist
Staring at the storm,
she sat alone but was in a crowd
The buzzing static hurt her ears
But the volume was turned down
Haunted by so many memories
and given so many plain hints
she cannot put the pieces together,
but somehow her life makes sense.
