AN OSCAR FOR MICK!!!
For much hard work and devotion on YPDC

For those of you who don't read the forums, this is a suggestion I just posted for Mick at his Forum....
This is Lovingcritters speaking here.
I've lived 68 years and in most of that time I held
fast to His Hand.
After much prayerful thought this is what I came up with
last night and early this morning.
Please reason with me.
This message is for you Mick, primarily.......but would
like to hear what others think also?

Dear Mick,
You have been so kind to all of us here at YPDC.
I don't want to go elsewhere to post my poems,
I love it right here at your site, and one of the reasons
I do, is because of you. You are kind, thoughtful, and
ready always to help me, an old woman that has learned
so much from you.

Why do you think you should run this wonderful Poetry Site for free?
I know of no one in the whole world that has a poetry site like yours,
And I might add I know of no one that monitors as well as you do either
Why do you let the majority that want to post for nothing do so? They use
all of your site's wonderful provisions, where as there are those like
myself and others that pay regularly. I have been paying once a year
as you stated in the rules and regulations when I joined here 3 years ago
Now I don't have much to live on, I get $800/mo retirement, and that's it. But I have a wonderful son Montie that would never see me go without,
but lets say I didn't. I could still afford atleast $10/mo. That wouldn't break me and I could still eat etc.

So Mick, why don't you start charging everyone that wants to post
a flat out fee...........like $30/ to start, and then let it be understood
that we all pay $10/mo or we simply don't stay!
You have a big heart Mick, but let's face it...........Life is really tough!
And since when do you ever get anything free? Plus if it's worth paying
for, then pay for it. And your site is well worth paying for Mick.
It's time you realized that. You called it your hobby, well, it's time
for you to live a little now, with your new little family, and you
should have time to yourself, and not have to worry about YPDC
anymore....... let YPDC run itself. All of those who agree, please step forward and give a great big
HURRAY FOR MICK!

P.S. There can be exceptions made of course, like the monitors that
monitor each month..........they shouldn't have to pay since they
are taking it out in helping the site, I'm sure you can think of several
other instances Mick.........you have to have more confidence and courage
to step up to the bat and hit a homerun strike. Make it a Grand Slam........
Give each person 30 days and if they can't come up with $10/mo then they can't stay!
