Garden Of Eden

In the Garden of Eden
That's where God got even
The serpent waited eagerly in the tree to deceive them
At the foot of the tree of knowledge
To heed the words of the first false prophet
Offering wisdom in the form of an apple
Churning temptation in the sound of its rattle
Good and evil have christened their battle
Lucifer was expelled from the Gate of Heaven
Doomed to Hades with the rest of his bretheren
Finally admonished for his irreverence
To writhe in agony for God's penance
Thrust from God's trust
For envy and lust
Every deed will soon turn to dust
What was once a paradise
Stands a shrine of a sinner's delight
All the trees have withered and the fruits have shriveled away
Until the second aberation in the deeds of Cain
But when the Garden returns and Exodus
Replenishes into Genesis, and so Eden merges with
The Heavens by a little Divine Intervention, which
Is surely a testament to the tainted souls asking
For repentance and redemption for their irreverance.
