Lullaby

Sing me a lullaby to put me off to sleep
Hum soflty and let reality into fantasy seep
Let your lullaby carry me to distant lands
Cradling me soft and snug in its hands
Across raging rivers and mighty seas
Past lush rainforests with towering trees
Help me forget all present sorrows
Erase worries about my tomorrows
Give me in my heart what i yearn
Let this breathtaking journey never adjourn
Take me over arid desert plains
To the mystical lands of the monsoon rains
Let sacred rain wash me clean
With each raindrop let a new dream begin
Remove the old and put something new in its place
A new aspiration for the future to face
