I try so hard to make you happy
And all you do is make me cry

I try not to get angry with you
I try to just forget about the
Mean words you say to me
And the bruises on my body

I don't try to dwell on what's happened
And I still can't help but love you
Every day a new word adds insult to injury

I am afraid that one day I won't be
The same loving person I used to be

Why are you so mean to me?
I try so hard to make you happy
And all you do is make me cry

I try not to get angry with you
I try to just forget about the
Mean words you say to me
And the bruises on my body

I don't try to dwell on what's happened
And I still can't help but love you
Every day a new word adds insult to injury

I am afraid that one day I won't be
The same loving person I used to be
