Your Poetry Dot Com - I AM GOING TO WIN THIS RACE (i can do this)

Here I am
at the tale end
of my journey
that I fearfully began
I quivered in fright
because this meant I was changing inside
going to become somebody
of confidence and beauty
the world of the learned
frights me timid
I still want to stay in the corner
and grow old and die there
but I have wings that want to fly
they are just so tiny they easily hide
I am scared
yes even that I will not make it there...
Yes, there to the end
I am tired and weary
and I am exhausted and shivering
I want to fight for the reward even willingly
yet I fear will show, my lack of ability
and will fail miserably
will I make it will I pass easily?
Im almost there
I’ve come so long and far
will I make it now
and will I take it in somehow
believe it, and run with it
become somebody significant and great
im so tired, can I keep the fire and focus?
Can I make it passed this....
This Stumbling block set here in my way?
I must come out of my corner
and confidently go forward
I can do this
with confidence, beauty and grace
buckling down now, im going to win this race-
