If she only knew, what you and me were up to
She’d fall out of love and grow to hate you
Like I used to wish I was able to
Everything you do has repercussions
So why are we having these same old discussions
I wanna be friends
You wanna be lovers
You say lets keep it under covers
I say pick one or the other
You know I’d fight for you
I feel I have the right to
I'm sorry if I don’t show you
But I didn’t think I needed to
After everything we’ve been through
I’ve had the best of you
Why does she get the rest of you?
You give me reason to believe
That me you wouldn’t deceive
Don’t say things you don’t mean
And don’t make me promises that you can’t keep
Because it’s sink or swim when your into deep
I’m not the jealous type
But I don’t wanna share
If you wanted to be some where
You’d be there
You know where I’ll be
When you think your ready for me
