I'm the other woman

Why do I take this from you
After everything you’ve gotten me in to
Because you’re my sweetheart
From you I can’t stand to be apart
Why do I listen to what you say
And wish it were true
As I persuade myself to stay
Am I that stunned
Maybe, because my head thinks you're the one
Why can’t we refuse our curiosity
I wish it didn’t cause such animosity
Because your my honey
When days are uncertain and everyones acting a little funny
It’s a tousled web we weave
We notice it more every time one watches the other leave
You think I’m manipulating you
But you have no idea what I go through
Everyday of my existence
We try to eliminate the resistance
I’m not sure what we yearn for can be achieved
But if we ever get it I’ll be so relieved
We lack the simple things
I’m not talking rings and pretty little doves wings
Just to hold you as we lay
And remain that way for the entire day
Just to go shopping with you
Without worrying who we’ll run in to
Being able to leave your house
Without sneaking out like a mouse
Making sure not to leave my paraphrenalia behind
For your girlfriend to find
I used to feel bad for her
But now I don’t care
If she made you happy
You wouldn’t need me there
I need you I feel it in my soul
You’re the one thing that makes me feel whole
Sealed with a kiss
Your mistress
