Pain behind a mask

once my heart was ice
melted by your heart, warm
all that has changed my hearts now harder
colder, crysalized in your storm

i told you of my love
once you did to
then you said to me
"i just felt sorry for you"

my eyes filled with tears
i felt myself fall
our love was a lie
i dont feel love at all

everything that i felt
all my love fused pain
did it mean a thing to you
what was your sick game?

i have sat and pondered
paced and blistered
tryed to remember something fonder
but to me now love is sick, bitter, twisted

everytime i see you, i hide
my pain behind a mask
i smile like im happy
i smile like we have no past

you wont return my calls
you throw away my letters
however i rest easy
because i have the remedy to make it better

with out you im dead
so dead i shall be
leaving you here
regretting what you did to me

the lies stop here
so does my life
i'll end it with you watching
i'll end it with a knife

as my shattered soul rises
i watch you cry all night
trying to repent
trying hard to make it right

my cold lifeless body in your arms
you take it all back, take back the lies
you say you loved me all along, you were afraid
why did i do this why did i die?

now you are scared, alone
love for me growing fast
the pain that i once wore, gone
now it is your pain hidden behind a mask
