Your Poetry Dot Com - Everything You Are

I remember when I almost gave up life.
Almost gave up hope and the will to fight.
Then you came along and gave me a reason
To keep up hope, gave me something to believe in.
You protected my flame, never let it go out.
You relinquished my fear and erased all my doubt.
You gave me the strength and the will to go on.
Led me through the night, and i made it to dawn.

Everything you are is everything i want.
Everytime Im down you bring me back to the front
Everything youve got is everything i need.
And even if i dont, youll still believe in me.

I lost my way and was wandering blind.
You grabbed my hand and i followed behind.
You led me to where i needed to be.
With my hand in yours I felt i could see.
You guided me through shades of black.
You were in front of me and i wasnt looking back.
In the darkness, the only thing in my view
Was the only thing i needed, i needed you.

Everything you are is everything i want.
Everytime Im down you bring me back to the front
Everything youve got is everything i need.
And even if i dont, youll still believe in me.
