Life is what you make it
Isn’t that what they say
So what happens when it all goes wrong
And things don’t go your way

They also say “things happen”
But they don’t tell you what to do
When all your hopes and dreams crash down
And you haven’t got a clue

“You learn to cope by having to”
But that just sounds like crap
When all the things you’ve worked for
Just end up in your lap

“Take each day at a time”
“What will be will be”
But when each day’s worse than the one before
When do you get to be free?
