I skipped the coffee and have to say,
The hammers pounded in my head,
I truly wished I could be dead.

Tonight I made a promise to myself
In the morning the coffee would be first off the shelf!
And while its pungent aroma enfolds my senses
I'll think about leaping and jumping those fences.

Every morning when I awake,
I set up the coffee for to make,
The pleasing aroma heightens the senses,
The first cup has me jumping the fences.

Today didn't start as every other day,

The hammers pounded in my head,
I truly wished I could be dead.

Tonight I made a promise to myself
In the morning the coffee would be first off the shelf!
And while its pungent aroma enfolds my senses
I'll think about leaping and jumping those fences.
