I swear I didn’t cry on the plane knowing that I had lost your love
And I didn’t stare long and hard at myself in the bathroom mirror.
I didn’t lie awake in bed and wonder what you were doing.
I could care less.
I cursed my heart when it skipped a beat
As I dialed your number on the phone
And I didn’t smile when I heard your voice.
I Didn’t.
I didn’t write a word about you while I was gone
And I didn’t think about your incredibly gorgeous eyes.
You were not on my mind.
I didn’t look for you at the bottom of shot glass after shot glass
And I never kissed them, wishing it was you.
I had harmless fun.
I didn’t imagine me coming home
And holding you in my arms.
I didn’t want anything to do with you.
I didn’t listen to love songs
And only see your face and hand intertwined with mine.
I shudder to think of you touching me.
I didn’t count the day down
And forget about how you hurt me.
No.
I didn’t come back
And only want to see you face.
I didn’t miss you at all.
I did not.
