The Casualties of Attraction

Look at this,
You stupid (B word),
You cut your throat,
And slit your wrists,
All to be noticed,
By an ignorant prick,
Who didn’t care,
Nor once shudder,
At the thought of you,
With another lover.
He never even saw,
The look in your eyes,
Half reading the notes,
As he passed you by.
Yet you’ve sacrificed for him,
You gave up your life,
To be a sandstone pillar,
Eroded at night.
All will forget you,
Not just this guy,
Not just your parents,
Not just the sky.
Those girls crying,
As your body rolls past,
They’ll get over it,
Drunk at the mass.
But your worst day,
Will be your last,
A funeral for chairs,
Empty and vast.
Lowered into the ground,
You begin to rot,
Forgotten by the world,
Dead for not.
