Appriciated Lie

Drowning in insecurity,
my doubts turn in to fears.
One look at myself brings shame;
and now I can't hold back the tears.
You say you think I'm beautiful.
You want me more each day.
But somehow doubt still lingers.
Though I want to believe what you say.
There's no question that you love me;
and you know I love you too.
But the things you say sometimes,
I'd be crazy to believe are true.
Like when you say my looks are better
than any that you've seen.
If infact you are not lying,
you must be living in a dream.
I know you're just a man.
You have desires like the rest.
And I know that you're not blind.
You can see I'm not the best.
So, thank you, Dear, for lying.
It only proves your love.
It's clear now you're my destiny;
my angel from above.
