Disgusted by this life so vile,
I make my way to petty wage,
Though secretly i am a sage,
I do this day my daily duty,
All the while wishing you would shoot me,
I carry on all regardless,
Wishing someone would regard this,
Hoping something's shining through,
Discreetly trying to impress you,
I know i am a prospect growing,
This is why i'm always showing,
Working though my soul is bored,
Solitude keeps me ignored,
I took a voice once to speak,
Turned out speaking made me weak,
I played the music to turn some heads,
Drove all the people to their beds,
Made a statement to be heard,
People said i was absurd,
I never was a king or god,
Still the homless call me lucky sod,
I have a house to use for living,
Rented for the taxmans giving,
I have a room used for sleeping,
Secretly it's used for weeping,
I have a garden full of life,
Mediocrity denied a wife,
I have a phone to remind,
I get a call from time to time,
I store my clothes on the wall,
Drab for work and that is all.
I live only for my boss,
I figured this my loss,
I do only as iI'm told,
The easiest way to grow old,
I cause no friction with my friend,
I fear for noone at my end,
I scream only when no one hears,
As a way to voice my fears,
I dream the dreams of all great men,
Hoping i won't know this again,
I have one thing to confess,
About this imposed duress,
I'm the king of mediocrity,
Never complocated simplicity,
Shared a date with idiocricy,
Doubt greatness is missing me,

I live a life once in a while,
