There's so much
Left unsaid
So many questions
Of which the answers are left unfound
As I sit here
Surrounded in silence
Asking myself

Why
Why don't you give me
your attention
Why don't you shower me
with your affection
Why don't you show me
what I mean to you
Or is it that
what you do

By doing the opposite
Of what I deserve
I wish you weren't
So reserved

So tell me
Or just be
Who you've always been
And leave me here
In fear
That my answer
To the question
Is true

Circling in my head

As I sit here
Surrounded in silence

Why
Why don't you give me

Why don't you show me
