There among the cries
are the tears that they have shed
And there among the lies
through this life that they’ve been led
And there among the scars
are the wounds that still bleed
like there among the others
are the causes of their need
And there up in the darkness
of a day that’s done and dead
Are the truths in all the answers
to the questions that they dread
And there among the moments
of a life that they do make
There’s hope they find within
that their faith does not forsake
to leave them in the shadows
as the gather on a wall
to stand there always waiting
but never answer to the call
