I wonder what will be the first word I say to you
Will it be ‘hey’ or ‘hi’?
Or will it be ‘hello’?
Not wanting to make a fool out of myself
I think I’ll settle for a ‘hi’
Then what is next
‘How are you?’ or ‘Everything’s fine I hope’
Too shy to talk more
I feel ‘How are you?’ is the safest approach
Then what
I don’t know as I have already ran out of ideas
And I know you’ll be standing there laughing at me
That is when I will realize I have already broken the ice
Both of us standing there, laughing at each other
That is when I think no words need to be spoken
As I give you a hug that tells everything
A hug that says I miss you
A hug that says I am so glad to meet you
A hug that says I am so glad we are friends
