Hoping, you’ll come to me any time of the day.
Fresh milk is in the bottle, kept warm and ready,
Come my dear child, it is feeding time already.

Your brown puppy is ill, not eating its daily bread,
It is waiting for you to be fed, come, ‘fore it is dead.
Toys, you threw in anger, are on the floor, mangled,
Relax! Teddy bear is waiting for you to be cuddled.

Come, bath is the place where you love to play,
Soak in the bath to get refreshed all thro’ the day.
Playfully, you splash water on my face, and giggle,
You vainly try to catch and burst the elusive bubble.

I search for you in the bush in the flowery garden,
A hiding place; where we play hide and seek often.
Wherever you go, the brown puppy follows there,
You toddle here and there, like an angel in the air.

The gloomy night it is; it is time for you to sleep,
Gently rocking the empty cradle, silently I weep.
Wherever you are I sing lullaby for you to sleep,
Close your eyes my child, you’ll get into deep sleep.

People call me a mental wreck; argue with disdain;
How a dead child can ever come back alive again?
How wrong they are, only I know, alive you are,
May be away, far away, very many light years afar.

I waited too long; no, I can’t afford to wait anymore,
Suddenly I realize, never you’ll come to me, therefore,
Wait my child, I ‘ll come to you; before long it will be,
We’ll be together for ever to be perpetually happy.

Day and night I wait for you in the door way,
Hoping, you’ll come to me any time of the day.
