And you have told me yours.
I know you fear repetition,
You will not be hurt anymore.

I may not be the perfect guy,
But there is one promise I can keep.
I will not hurt you like he did,
I will never make you weep.

I know that I am not always home,
You won’t stand the distance again.
Never mind the miles between us,
Count our love instead.

I will not leave for someone else,
I will listen to your every word.
There is sunshine in your smile,
And I hate living in the dark.
