Who never knew
That you were there
The one who glanced away
When you began to care
Tuesday's for a man
Whose worth is worth
A thousand ashes burnt
Upon the ground
As the Santa Ana winds
Bear quickly far away;
He didn't last
Wednesday, well he
He doesn't really count
With the way he couldn't
Keep his eyes focused
And his heart to himself
It's all his now
Thursday, never really
Went away
Hanging on the sidelines
Like it's all the way
You made it to be for him
When he deserved nothing
More than a smile and a nod
A passing glance
But Friday looms
His presence never more real
Than it is false
For nothing comes easy
When it also comes right
But for this one, well
Just hold on tight
It could maybe be
The one

Monday is the one
