in multitudes. . .

my darling,
how I love thee.
my heart, wrapped
up with thine. . .
the briefest of our waiting
multiplies
a thousand times.
I counter
for the feeling
of you close
& charmed, I dine
at desires'
lavish table,
unbridled, true, sublime.
consequence
of needy thoughts
claim all our strength,
combined. . .
exhaust a feeling
from my host
& I'll return
in kind. . .
