Tomorrow We can Remember that We're Just Friends

I’m running this race on dreams and apathy
Which to finish and which to leave
Dreams and commitment fading to dust
My mind is now of self-torment and lust
Defiling my character is a brand new rage
Seems to be more exciting with each new age
Pick me up just to throw me down
Kick me once and leave me on this ground
Grounds for divorce oh I think not
Grounds of revenge the drive we fought
If you let go I promise to move on
Shades of summer soon to be gone
Tonight let’s forget that there may be an end
Tomorrow we can remember that we’re just friends.
