I'm a vampire in a way
A parasite if you will
Feeding off of others happiness
I'm drawn to the broken and the damaged
a desire as strong as gravity rooted deep within
It pulls and twists at me deep in my stomach I hear it
"mend, fix, heal"
And it persuades me, makes me believe
I have no value, no meaning in this live
But to help heal those that are broken
Revive the joy that was thought to have long ago dried up
Bringing meaning to someone is what fixes me
I'm broken, myself, shattered and empty
Desolate
I need to feed off of the purpose I pump into others
I drink in the happiness radiating off of those around me
And If I can help just one person find actual meaning in his life
Then I think I could see value in my own
I'm a vampire of sorts
A parasite if you will
Without bringing purpose to others lives
I have no meaning in my own
