Founding Father

The revolution has taken its toll
But this story is not written on a scroll
It’s in my heart, as my Father delights
A nation he lifted up to its mighty heights
Don’t ever forget his mighty deeds
Lest we have fallen, and he remove the seed
Our fathers understood this simple truth
They turned to Him, and did not offer a truce
They fought and died for our freedom today
Our Founding Father prepared the way
‘America the Beautiful’
Do you know who this is? Of whom I speak?
Our Father in heaven, in whom I seek
