I Believed Her

She told me she loved me
And I believed her
She made me feel
Like a believer
I felt though anything was possible
Overcome any adversity
Defeat any obstacle
Everything I did
Felt different while I did it
Like the thought of a girls love
Was somehow different
I felt like somebody
It felt good to mean something to someone else
She told me everyday
We would be together till death
I believed her
People say
Long distance doesn’t work out
We were determined at any cost
To prove em wrong
Dates were made
Dates were delayed
Dates were called off
Till I got fed up
And let out my mouth
All of my thoughts
“How can we be together…
if we can’t even be together?”
No reply
“U know we’re not gonna work right?”
was her reply months later
From that point we talked on and off
Every now and again
She says she still loves me
But ill never believe her again

I got a best friend
She’s beautiful
No really beautiful
Inside and out
But so much drama
In her house
She deserves the world
I tell her everything
And I mean everything
And she listens
And doesn’t judge me for anything
She tells me her problems
Her problem is
She wants a ring
She gets committed quick
And then gets her heart broke
And I feel her so much
My hearts in my throat
I’m tired of hearing her talk about other guys
So she cries on my shoulder
While I tell her lies
I’m in disguise
Acting like her best friend
Cuz that’s what she really needs
But deep down I day dream
About being her man
She tells me she loves me
I believed her
By far the greatest friendship I ever had
I won’t tell u how it ended
Cuz I’ll get too mad
It was pettier than petty
And I’m already getting mad…..
I believed her
