Topic: Sad Poetry

Contributed By: bluethewolf

I'm lonely when I'm alone,
but this cold dark room gives me warmth,
the darkness hides me and it feels safe,
the emptiness fills me up

I don't want to meet the sun when I wake,
it disturbs my rest, my escape, my freedom,
it carries me back to the torture,
as soon as it shines through the windows

I don't like the way I am,
I don't like how I hurt when there's nothing else to feel,
I hate how my mind floats outside of my head,
I can't stand carrying myself with me wherever I go
