Colours bright.
Shades of sound.
Flames and light
Swirl round and round.
My ears ring.
My eyes burn.
When you sing,
My heart turns.

Perspiration
On my skin.
Trepidation.
Watching. Waiting.
Beauty perfect,
In every motion.
Graceful conflict.
A love-hate potion.

Love unrequited.
Never recognised.
Unstated,
Unrealised.
I sit and watch you
Burn your star bright.
Love not true.
I was right.

To leave the seed
Never to grow.
To rose, to weed?
Never to know.
Pain I’ve accepted.
Angst and woe.
But love unrequited?
Never I know.

Colours bright.
