To all their nonsense and all thier lies
I'll fnally put behind me the things I most regret
And all the things I'm ashamed of, I can now forget
For there is something new in me, a fire I've not known
And it burns fear, singes doubt, and hates to be alone
It mends my heart, heals my soul, cauterizes wounds
And has the strength and will to burn: forests, cities, and moons
And it wants company for me, yours if truth me told
And without your touch it weakens and I can feel the cold
So, please, hold me close, so that I may burn bright
And with your magic kiss, we'll set fire to the night [comments] => 2 [counter] => 210 [topic] => 2 [informant] => BlackBearExtraordinaire [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Passion Revived

Today's the day that I'll say goodbye
To all their nonsense and all thier lies
I'll fnally put behind me the things I most regret
And all the things I'm ashamed of, I can now forget
For there is something new in me, a fire I've not known
And it burns fear, singes doubt, and hates to be alone
It mends my heart, heals my soul, cauterizes wounds
And has the strength and will to burn: forests, cities, and moons
And it wants company for me, yours if truth me told
And without your touch it weakens and I can feel the cold
So, please, hold me close, so that I may burn bright
And with your magic kiss, we'll set fire to the night
