i tried to see your past,
but all you did was hide.
i tried to ake you talk to me,
about your family that died.

i tried to hold you in my arms,
but you just pushed away.
i tried to make you smile,
but it always put you in dismay.

i tried so hard to know you,
but all you did was scream.
i tried to let you leave me,
but all you did was dream.

i tried to let you go,
but you always came back calling.
i tried to say good-bye,
but it felt like i was falling.

you hurt me everyday,
you never let me in.
you make me cry every night,
like trying to know you is a sin.

just let me be free,
let me go out that door,
let me stop trying,
because i dont need to know anymore.

i tried to see into the future,
i tried to see past your eyes.
