She lives her own life surrounded by chatter and noise
Yet she doesn’t see with her heart
She doesn’t see with her soul or mind
She lives and sees with eyes of emptiness
Seeing solid things, things that don’t matter, irrelevant things
But all the things she doesn’t see are there, in hiding but calling out their presence,
Crying out, reaching out to those who don’t see
She hears a murmur, a whisper, she feels their presence
But she doesn’t call to them, let them know she knows and cares
She lives her own life, yet she doesn’t see with her soul

A scream, an ear piercing scream and she’s frozen with emotion
She wants to feel, act, say and has to admit the truth’s escaped
She doesn’t know how to feel, act, say but has to admit the truth’s escaped
And she wants to shout back her own pain and care
Her care for the truth she had let hide before
The truth the long pretty golden hair was hiding
The truth the beautiful blue eyes were hiding before
And so she smiled at the truth,
To show her understanding
And she read the truth with love,
To show her care
And she hugged the truth itself
To show she’d always be there
