Sat on the floor in a mosque
Sat in a synagogue
These are god’s holy places...
But I question
Your church
Your mosque
Your synagogue
What are they but earth’s bricks and water?
The whole universe is holy
Every piece of decaying litter, every blooming flower
Without ugly what would be of beauty?
Without ‘evil’ what state would ‘good’ be in?
My body, heart and mind are my bricks and water
My church
My love, my family and friend
My mosque
The earth
My synagogue
All of these together
My heaven
And to walk on the earth is the miracle
So who needs walking on water?
