Raging in silence
Tears run along to form
Healing tissues in the cracks
But they rebreak

Lonely shadow, aren’t you pretty
Swish your tattered dress
You wore it to the funeral
It was your day, your day that died

Lonely shadow, aren’t you pretty
Pocketful of poesies and scattered hope
Buried your foolishness like a fool
To hell as all such a fool goes
Might as well now as ever

Lonely shadow, aren’t you pretty
A hellhound majesty, a devil grin
Ingrown cancer of the soul,
You aren’t what you are

Lonely shadow, an ugly thing
Beats in your chest,
Punches out a hole to breathe

Lonely shadow, aren’t you pretty
Raging in silence
