I hope you forget me
I hope you’re someone different now

I hope you find yourself
Staring at nothing
Trying to find my face,
Wondering where you’ve seen it before

I hope I pass you on the way to somewhere
And I look familiar
But you can’t remember my name

I hope you wake up in the middle of the night
Disturbed inside, terrified of remembering
More than nothing

I hope you tuck me away
So far in the back of the cave
Dust, cobwebs, forgotten,
Leaving only my skeleton

Put me in a box
Labeled “do not open”
Trap me inside
So you don’t feel a thing

Because that’s what I’m doing
It’s all I can,
This cold loneliness I call home now
But I can barely remember your face [comments] => 5 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Chamaron [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Forgotten

I hope you remember me
I hope you forget me
