Embrace Yourself
Look inside yourself
search for the man
the women
or anything in between
Don’t let anyone tell you that you are wrong
you can’t
or that just isn’t right
Whoever you find inside yourself
is who you are
it is you are right so don’t ever give up your fight
Be the lion, let the dove out of its cage
and embrace who you are
Let out all your emotion
and a dream one day could be your reality
Whether you are women who like women
or a man who has falling in love with the same sex
show it loud and proud
and embrace who you are
You have done nothing wrong
you are beautiful or handsome
whichever you choose
I call to all who are afraid to come out of the closet
There are no closets in life
why hide in the dark?
If people don’t accept you, who cares
you must accept yourself
No one can live a happy life locked in a closet
or a dark room afraid to come out
Take the first step in the rest of your life
and be true to yourself
start living happy
I wish I could tell you it will be ok
that everyone will accept you
but I cannot
All I can tell you is that
unconditional love will not turn its back on you
But how can you find unconditional love
if you live a lie?
My arms will embrace you
As the past tears and fears
of others will help guide your way
Out of the darkness
out of the shadows
I will stand on the grounds of Westbro Baptist church
and I will be there to hold your hand
I am the breath you breathe
the fear you feel
the hate you show
I am your strength
and your hope
I am your tears
for all those who have gotten killed
or taken their own lives
because of the way people
have made them feel they weren’t right
I will be the voice in the crowd
that makes the difference
Any time you fear
your journey
remember
I am always there
and you are not alone
