In fact, I think it tries it's best
to remind us sometimes we all need a rest
so take it, take it.

I don't mind if you fill half my glass
just make it strong, i'll make it last
remember to hold onto the past
and savor it, savor it

Now I'm not one for giving advice,
more like giving in on sober nights,
but I think we all need to turn out the lights
and breathe, just breathe
Just sit and talk and light a fire
play some music till you get tired
or stay up late with your desires
and just slow down

you don't need to rush
just to find yourself out of this town

This town is speeding in the wrong direction
hooking up with chicks with staff infections
getting drunk and losing your erection
it's ***** embarrassing
And instead of trying to move on forward
we ignore it all and shrug it off the shoulder
i guess this is just getting older
or just not getting it right

These people they've got the same disease as me
Getting drunk til 5 waking up at 3
Throwing up for two hours and then brushing teeth
pick me up a 12 pack on your way
On a typical night it could be any number of things
drinking, drinking, or drinking while eating wings
i've got my ***** liver in a ***** sling
but i made it through the day

I'm not trying to be a dick
But this place is making me sick

Now I'm not one for giving advice,
more like giving in on sober nights,
but I think we all need to turn out the lights
and breathe, just breathe
Just sit and talk and light a fire
play some music till you get tired
or stay up late with your desires
and just slow down

you don't need to rush
just to find yourself out of this town
