Copious quantities swallowed down
The sufferings of hell
The offing of the morning
Their punishment be found
Devoid of tenderness
Nor moral fiber survive
How wretched they became
When the creature would arrive
Their characters were as
And be required to
Blame themselves not such
Of the pain that swill could do
Standing in the shadows
A darling helpless child
As a scapegoat he would do
Facing blame and recriminations
Of cruelties left untold
The need of cannon fodder
And witness their rage explode
Salvation forgo his little spirit
Left to crumble up and die
Such thoughts allowed creep in
Tear drops still burn the eye

Red-eye was their master
Copious quantities swallowed down
The sufferings of hell
The offing of the morning
Their punishment be found
Devoid of tenderness
Nor moral fiber survive
How wretched they became
When the creature would arrive
Their characters were as
And be required to
Blame themselves not such
Of the pain that swill could do
Standing in the shadows
A darling helpless child
As a scapegoat he would do
Facing blame and recriminations
Of cruelties left untold
The need of cannon fodder
And witness their rage explode
Salvation forgo his little spirit
Left to crumble up and die
Such thoughts allowed creep in
Tear drops still burn the eye
