For I am not quite sure if my mission is complete
After all the one He has sent me to look after
Has taken a fancy to me and is ever so sweet
I realize the risk of love at this time
And ever so many questions regarding it

My darling you are captivated by these faithful wings
They lead me where care and hope is needed to fulfill His work
I see that you admire my virtues illuminated by a prominent halo
Along with a voice used to encourage and comfort sad souls
All such things you point out make me beautiful and of perfection

But I realize that this is one experience out of many to come
My business about here cannot be forever; my work is never done
An angel is admired and held dear yet must be let go
Fortunately they are never forgotten and leave mortals with
An everlasting hope that will live on in their hearts

I look to the Heavens for an answer
For I am not quite sure if my mission is complete
After all the one He has sent me to look after
