A mind so strayed from the norm - so misted.
It’s a lot to ask of a man to love
a mind that does not conform.

Can you babysit?
Can you tolerate?
The medicines are wrong.
Can you stay that long?

Can you put her to bed
when she’s had too much?
Can you please make sure
that doesn’t happen and such?

Can you handle her
when her fears are real?
When she sees the ghosts?
That’s part of the deal.

Can you speak so soft
and have a touch that’s gentle?
Will you stay so calm
when she’s a little mental?

It’s a lot to ask
this much is true.
You’re out there somewhere.
I am waiting for you.
