Isn’t it sad we don’t communicate?
We sit, we ponder and wait
Time goes by so quickly
We forget our friends
Those good friends now gone
Those good times we shared
Those photo’s in that album
The laughter, the tears
The arguing, the rivalry

Then you see them on the street
By chance the two of you meet
Pleasantries are spoken
Hand shakes, a nice token
Plans to meet up again soon made
Numbers exchanged, call you soon
Awkward, awkward, awkward
Drift back into your mundane life, with a tinge of regret
Why didn’t I call back?

Awkward

Isn’t it sad we don’t communicate?
We sit, we ponder and wait
Time goes by so quickly
We forget our friends
Those good friends now gone
Those good times we shared
Those photo’s in that album
The laughter, the tears
The arguing, the rivalry

Then you see them on the street
By chance the two of you meet
Pleasantries are spoken
Hand shakes, a nice token
Plans to meet up again soon made
Numbers exchanged, call you soon
Awkward, awkward, awkward
Drift back into your mundane life, with a tinge of regret
Why didn’t I call back?
