We haven't made love in fifteen years,
And yet that's not exactly true.
I am still enamored by her feminine charms,
And she likes masculine things I do.

It started out mostly by our aging.
The surgeons knife took care of the rest.
I was fearful what would become of us,
But our love has passed this test.

The gift was needed for procreation.
And God's blessings on us bestowed,
He gave us two precious little children,
Then three grandsons don't you know!

I miss the gift I mentioned a lot,
And at times my maleness pines,
For the long ago sheer bonding,
That was once hers and mine.

But this was just a stage of life.
Doctors assure me that this is true.
It comes for all at some point in life.
Maybe it was sooner for me than you.

In our youthful stronger former days,
Those pleasures once gave us joy.
A mans mind is simply one sided,
To manufacture new girls and boys.

Our job is done for that sweet part.
But what replaced it was a big surprise.
I see her now through wiser eyes,
And I have lost my own disguise.

I still love to hold her in my arms,
And I thrill with each sweet kiss.
To me she is the beauty still,
Who took my name to bring me bliss.
