When I depart and am transformed
I would be a sunlit forest glen
Spread about with daisies
Honeysuckle, sweet lilacs
And the wild wild briar
Where I would create a bower
Where couples come

And to their ecstasy
I would give all the flowers
Of the meadow, singing
A single chorus of affirmation
To the wild white rose
Of innocence and devotion

When I Depart

When I depart and am transformed
I would be a sunlit forest glen
Spread about with daisies
Honeysuckle, sweet lilacs
And the wild wild briar
Where I would create a bower
Where couples come

And to their ecstasy
I would give all the flowers
Of the meadow, singing
A single chorus of affirmation
To the wild white rose
Of innocence and devotion
