None of this would have happened if it weren't for our descendants.
There was Adams and Franklin, just to name a few.
The ones who guided America past a huge break though.
Today, our nation's red, white, and blue flag stands tall.
To prove to others that they aren't capable of touching us at all.
The fireworks burst, leaving a crackle and sparkle in the air.
Outsiders could only watch with an astonishing glare.
But things end when the clock strikes 12 and the day is done.
The day we used to show people why we are number one.
