how do I deal with
what never goes away
it's destroyed my ability
to stand so proud & say

there's nothing that I cannot do
my heart so filled with pride
untill I fell & broke my back
I feel a part of me had died

trying to climb a ladder
the one they call success
I could reach out,I could touch it
but the fall has made a mess

how can you climb a ladder
when it hurts to simply walk
you cant show your abilities
if all you do is talk

it's time to face reality
of what I can no longer do
& pass on my experience
to the dreamer just like you

do not do what I did
& give up on what you dream
to this day I do regret it
I hope you dont know what I mean

live your life to it's fullest
you will be thankful forever more
& the one way you will see
what forever is really for
