it's always been said
if you hear voices
inside your head

pay attention to whats said
allthough it's not Real
it might make a difference
in how you feel

it'a 4 a.m.
& I'm out of the bed
thanks to a voice
inside my head

it doesnt make since
in any way
but still I hear
what they have to say

they say nothing bad
as I'm taking a walk
it just seems to me
that it wants to talk

about all the things
threw out my life
my truck, my house,
my kids, my wife,

it only talks
about what matters to me
no crazy impressions
just Reality

so I just listen
hoping I can see
what it is there trying
to say to me

in the dark of night
it's always been said
if you hear voices
inside your head

pay attention to whats said
allthough it's not Real
it might make a difference
in how you feel
