I can lead you in many directions,

But in the mirror you’ll see no reflection.

I’ll have you make decisions that are unwise,

And often lead you to believe their lies.

I can cause you heartache and pain,

Sometimes force you to go insane.

With me you can feel life’s ultimate joy,

Or see relationships get destroyed.

I can lead you down the path of empathy,

Often times have you searching for sympathy.

With me you can feel loves passion,

Making choices that are no longer rational.

At times I might be your only friend,

While traveling a path that has no end.

Taking a journey you don’t fully understand,

Trying to figure out your life’s plan.

Sometimes I feel like I’m made of glass,

And sometimes I’ll make you feel like an ass.

I can have you act on shear emotions,

Have you express your undying devotion.

So have you figured out who I am?

Do I need to guide you by the hand?

This bit of knowledge I am going to impart,

For I’m no person at all, I am your heart.
